Another great find from last week. /late to the party. I got his EP named Phantom Papers and instantly fell in love with it. I think this guy’s major influence has been Burial, because you can really hear similarities between the two. The way he constructs his ambiences or his grooves for example is similar, which is not a bad thing but rather a sign of quality I’d say. But I don’t want to think it’s a rip-off of Burial, although at first I was somewhat skeptical about it. Despite the fact that his beats are a little less refined and filtered than Burial ones, Phantom Papers easily is my favourite dubstep release of June.
